French Remembrance Day Collaborative Poster Bundle | Paper

Teach your FSL and French core students about the history of Jour du Souvenir and Journée des vétérans autochtones with this set of two collaborative posters. This colouring activity takes your students 10-30 minutes. Just print and use. It's a great activity to learn about the history of Remembrance Day in Canada, or leave with a substitute teacher.
Our posters include:
- a French collaborative poster you can use for Jour du Souvenir (Remembrance Day) or Journée des vétérans autochtones (National Indigenous Veterans Day). All the text on the posters is in French.
- suggestions for how to run the activity with your students.
- sets in 18, 24 or 36 pieces, so you can use them with any size class.
- simple instructions for your students. All the instructions are in English.
- overview image to show where each piece fits into the final poster.
- pieces with different levels of detail so you can differentiate slightly.
- assembly instructions with tips for making the process as easy as possible.
- follow-up activities to extend learning about the origins of Indigenous Veterans Day on November 8, Charles "Checker" Tomkins and Henry Louis Norwest, and the history of Remembrance Day. The activities are in French.
- a vertically oriented poster. Final poster sizes depend on your printer settings, but the approximate sizes are 18 pieces 60 by 90 cm, 24 pieces 72 by 108 cm and 36 pieces 80 by 135 cm.
- individual piece sizes 18 pieces 20 by 15 cm, 24 pieces 18 by 18 cm, 36 pieces 20 by 15 cm.
