    • Charity and VolunteeringStudents learn about civic actions like charity and volunteering that citizens can take to be active citizens; definitions of charity and volunteering; things that can be donated: money, items, or time (volunteering); ways to volunteer in your community; pros and cons of charity and volunteering; creating a plan to help a charity or volunteer.
    • Voting and ElectionsStudents will learn the vocabulary related to elections in Canada; voting eligibility in Alberta; the process for provincial elections; participate in a voting simulation; learn how civic actions such as being active in the community, helping others, following rules and voting make communities stronger, happier and healthier.
