Learn about growing crystals with this low-prep lesson, reading passage, and simple research activity as part of your classroom chemistry unit. Learn about how crystals are formed and experiment to make your own.

To do the experiments included in this lesson you will need lots of glass jars (recycled from the kitchen). You will also need a variety of household items to make the crystals. 

The lesson is short, but students may have to wait several days before making observations about their crystal experiments.
